Our first Nor’easter of the season is wrapping up, and there’s plenty to talk about as we get ready to welcome October to Scituate. The wind, the rain, and that fall chill have us wondering: when will we see temperatures climb above 70° again?
Another week of well-below-normal high temperatures is on the way. We’ll take a closer look at the chilly pattern, what it means for your outdoor plans, and whether there’s any warmer weather on the horizon?
And have you noticed just how quickly those evenings are getting darker? We’re now spending more time in darkness than daylight. We’ll get into why that happens, what comes next, and one bright spot: the fastest stretch of daylight loss is already behind us. The days are still getting shorter, but the pace is beginning to ease.
Plus, let’s talk Nor’easters...When are the peak months for these powerful coastal storms, and what makes this time of year so favorable for their development?
All that, plus your weekly weather preview for September 20–September 27, 2026.
There’s a lot to unpack as we turn the page toward October!
NEXT, on episode #261 of Obsessed With the Weather!
