If you’re not very happy in one area of your life, there is a basic principle that you can use to increase your happiness in that area. We have a lot of different areas of our life that affect our enjoyment now and our odds of being able to keep living the way we want to when we’re elderly. If your level of happiness in an area of your life (like your family relationships or your physical endurance or your finances) is lower than you’d like it to be, there’s an interesting principle of coupled variables that you can use to increase your happiness in that area on demand.
