You have surely heard of false memory syndrome. According to experts, under certain circumstances, it might be possible to push people—whether unconsciously or not—to fabricate memories of events that never happened.

This theory originated in the 1980s in America, later becoming known worldwide through a series of experiments conducted by Elizabeth Loftus, the world's leading expert on the subject.
The story I want to tell you today, however, has nothing to do with the States. The reported events were born, developed, and faded away in Italy between 1998 and 2018.

Twenty years that marked a profound change for the protagonists of these narrated events. Could it be possible that, due to contextual factors, children might have created memories of events that never happened, such as abuse and animal or human sacrifices in favor of Satan?
