Today's Talk: The Magic of Music Matching by Roy van Rijn Roy van Rijn is a Dutch Java Champion and gave this talk at GOTO Oslo 2020. Although due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had to give the talk from his home. He recounts a real story of himself, from a few years ago, how he discovered music matching. The idea behind music matching is to detect a commercial song which is being played back through some speakers, for instance. Roy got so curious about the inner workings of this that he implemented a clone by himself over the course of a weekend and explains to us how he did it. You can find the original talk here: https://youtu.be/8Dj0rekeM7g. Furthermore, the demo of Roy that we mentioned can be seen at this timestamp: https://youtu.be/8Dj0rekeM7g?t=1672.
