'There must be a Before,’ said Rabbit, when Christopher Robin was asked about Before he came to the Forest. And so begins the first of ten tales that take readers back to the time when Pooh Bear sat in Harrods, waiting to be bought for Christopher Robin.
Including a furry tale in London Zoo, a tall tale at The Natural History Museum and a tiny tale of a nursery mouse, this authorised prequel steps into the younger Christopher Robin’s world; one of den building, treasure seeking, funny hums and honey!

Recensioni della critica
'Winnie-the-Pooh has always been a very special (albeit funny old) bear, not least of all because his books are filled with wonderful words of wisdom.' (Stylist magazine)
'Radiating the warmth and playfulness of the original stories, Once There Was a Bear is a tribute to The Best Bear in All the World – for ages 5 years to 105 years!' (My Weekly)
'Not only is Winnie-the-Pooh a much-loved character, the appeal of these stories is enduring. They have followed me through my childhood, into adulthood and, now, I can share these cherished books with the next generation.' (Northern Soul)
