Lewis mente cristallina.

È un vero piacere ascoltare i suoi discorsi, ben interpretati dal narratore. I contenuti spingono a seguire questo flusso inarrestabile di verità, una dopo l’altra, quasi fossero ragionamenti fatti dall’ascoltatore stesso.

Incredible.

Lewis gets straight to the heart of what being Christian actually is. He hits the hard stuff swiftly and doesn't waste time. He uses solid logic around the issues he had as a believer and when he didn't believe. It's a fast listen and absolutely wonderful.

A jewel from C.S. Lewis

As a diehard fan of C.S. Lewis, I enjoy all of his books. This one, "What Christians Believe" is a concise review of the major doctrines of western Christianity - I never knew C.S. Lewis had written such a book. This little book covers what Christians believe in an entertaining, nonconfrontational, and informative manner. His simple, direct style makes some important concepts and ideas obvious, that otherwise had been dull and foggy. The narrator was excellent! His presentation was clear and soothing, but also lively and entertaining - it will never put you to sleep.

Brilliant

CS Lewis is brilliant and brilliantly explains Christianity. I hope that everyone who reads his book or listens to the audiobook does themself the favour of being honest and allows the words to confront and challenge their beliefs.

SHORT BOOK BUT WORTH A LISTEN

I found this book very interesting and educational

It is a very short book (under 60 min) I was disapointed that it was not longer.

Some deep theology but presented in an interesting and clear maner.

It's pretty profound

Rated on Content

This was a tough listen for me on audio, but I will listen again. The content is true to C.S. Lewis and always an encouragement. He is able to present Jesus in a manner that cannot be argued.

For the Head and the Heart

C.S. Lewis, one of the most renowned Christians and authors of our time, has written a very short, but succinct essay on what it is EXACTLY that we, as Christians believe. Even though it’s a short piece, its not light, by any means. Gives the listener a lot to chew on. The fact that C.S. Lewis was a professed atheist prior to his conversion, gives this weight and hits home for those of us that have been believers from a young age. His logical approach, unabashed questions regarding Christianity are as fresh today as when he penned them in the 1940s when they were originally broadcast in England. C.S. Lewis, an intellectual as well as a professor at Cambridge University was a regular feature on BBC London during WWII, offering a respite for soldiers and civilians alike. (Imagine that!) Still revered by Christians of all denominations for his common sense approach to Christianity and ability to confront even the toughest of questions head on, this is a listen you won’t want to miss.

Professional Quality Reading; highly listenable.

I’ve been increasingly impressed with Blackstone Audio’s work here on audible. I was not let down with this version as well. I was willing to take a hit on the quality of the narration because this was the free version and I’m doing my best to work my way through all of Lewis’s writings on my way to and from work or while doing chores, but I was not let down. Fantastic production. And as always with Lewis’s work, succinct, down to earth, logically defensible revelations of Christian Truth. I give this one an A+.

Astounding

This book is super short but ridiculously sweet. Do yourself a favor and listen, then send this to every person you know. Not sure if I’ve ever heard the Gospel broken down quite like this. So simplistic, yet deeper than the ocean. Thank God for people like CSL who can put into words what most can’t even get straight in their brains! A+++++

Less is more

There's more in this 43 minutes than I could have ever known until listening to the depths of C.S.Lewis taking the time to which isn't much and think about the words spoken

My favorite by Lewis!

This work by C.S. Lewis is very enlightening. Packed with knowledge and answers. It makes alot of sense. The narrator was comforting, had me hanging on every word and wishing the book would never end.

Fascinating and enlightening

I found this book takes a lot of listening as complex concepts are explored; but it is so worth the while. Don't be put off by the slightly old fashioned language in places 'cos it was written in the 1940/50's? The explanations and insights provided are like sunlight breaking through a storm cloud or a muddy pool suddenly becoming crystal clear; not only is it enlightening but inspiring and answers questions you didn't even realize were bothering you. I cannot recommend it more highly and I have read and reread it many times. I am quite certain I will continue to do so in the future. It should even encourage one to get the paperback copy of the original which has a few more parts to it and provides more material for contemplation.
