Well, it could be better.

Jim and his literal shoulder demon have survived, so far, by the skin of their teeth.

After finding a long-abandoned starter village, Jim has begun the process of rebuilding his town. Unfortunately for our favorite adventurer, the threats he now faces are far more complicated than mere monsters. The poor Noob has to deal with angry townsfolk, trade negotiations, and a talking badger.

Fire is not opposite of water. H2o hydrogen and oxygen both burn very well. Water just removes the heat from the fuel and restricts oxygen access. Fire is just... Fire. Pretty harmless on its own with short exposure time. The combustion air shock wave can do some damage as the AIR expands or if the heat is stupid high and it's a magic barrier stopping magic, so can't you magic toss a small boulder in size if a big boulder and cut off the magic so it's just a regular rock? Wouldn't that ignore the barriers?
And farts are methane. That gas I think can pretend to be oxygen, so your lungs treat it as one but brain gets nothing, thus you pass out and die without ventilation, or was it just heavier than oxygen..
And skill speaks of biology. What if you just create Massive fart in someone? Their stomach bursts and that's a painful death. One guy got compressor pressed in arse and died moments later.

The magic aspect might be a letdown
