Rich, evocative, and dignified, the King James Version of the Bible remains the favorite of millions of readers and listeners for both inspirational and poetic qualities. This edition of The Spoken Word Bible focuses on four books from the Old Testament.
Ezra and Nehemiah closely relate to one another. During this time, the Israelites return to Jerusalem from Babylon and rebuild the temple. Nehemiah reconstructs the walls of Jerusalem, while Ezra teaches the people to obey God' s laws.
In the book of Esther, a Jewish girl becomes a queen, and she must save her people from a genocide.
The story of Job incites faith and humility as his journey is traced from a righteous man who has everything, loses it all under horrific circumstances, only for God to restore his fortunes– twice as much as he had before.
This small, yet powerful compilation of scriptures will invigorate those traipsing through the challenges of everyday life.
