Sintesi dell'editore

He's the most fearsome sheriff in the West - a force to be reckoned with, the stuff of legend. But so is she. May the best sheriff win.

Paisley Bell knows the eccentric people of Savage Wells. From the absentminded shopkeeper who always thinks she's been robbed to the young man who has returned shell-shocked from the war, Paisley has compassion for them all. When the sheriff up and leaves town, Paisley steps up and assumes the responsibility, partly because she loves the work but also because she needs the income to take care of her sick father. So when the town council decides that the position of sheriff should really go to a man, Paisley finds herself fighting to prove that she's the perfect candidate for the job, even though she wears a skirt.

Cade O'Brien is heartily sick of shooting people. In his many years as a lawman, Cade has seen his share of blood and violence. So when he answers an advertisement for a sheriff job in the sleepy town of Savage Wells, he believes he's found the peace and quiet he's always desired. But when he discovers that his biggest competition for the job is a woman, he begins to question his decisions.

Tension between the two begins to sizzle as both Cade and Paisley realize the attraction they have for each other, but when Paisley's former beau shows up in town along with a band of bank robbers, the blossoming relationship between the two sheriffs is tested. They will have to work together to thwart the bank robbers and keep the town safe.

Meh, it’s okay

This is nothing compared to her Jonquil Brothers series or even For Elise. The narrator put in kind of a lackluster performance. No feels at all.

I was truly swept away!

Look, I'm a guy. I like the dirty details and steamy scenes. Love stories can be fun, they can also be entirely too predictable.

So, I was hesitant after reading the excerpt, I was however pleasantly misgiven. Even though there was no bodice-ripping and yes the ending was predictable it was still a fantastic story that had me laughing out loud and genuinely being invested in the interest of the characters.

A little slow at the beginning but with enough to keep you interested until the story really steps into gear.

An entirely worthwhile listen that you WONT regret!

unrealistic storyline

the lead female character is extremely manly and the main male character was that first very hard and tough and then by the end of the book he was a soft pansy.🙄🙄🙄 extremely unrealistic. even what they said to each other was not something that people will say to each other

This is a terrific sweet Western romance

Paisley‘a father’s mindfulness was getting worse. From the once brilliant banker, he was unaware most days of present reality.
Paisley was not qualified for many jobs, but she felt proud of her accomplishments as serving as Sheriff’s Deputy - although self- appointed and unpaid. Now she added her name to the list of three others in application for the new Sheriff.
The Town Council decided to hold a 14-day trial before choosing one.
Cade was a notorious lawman. He was a modern legend. Only a few in this tiny community knew of him. This was a perfect place for a man tired of killing and chasing down outlaws to settle down in. The pay was surprisingly good.
For Paisley, this job was a matter of survival.
Toward the end of the trial period, the town’s situation took a drastic turn, it was past the hiring debate and only one was truly qualified.
This bittersweet romance is poignant but delightful. The entertaining banter between Case and Paisley is humorous and entertaining. The quirky friendships are amusing, and the disheartening struggles sad.
This is a clean, wholesome western romance with at. “ attitude “ the reader will surely be captivated by.
One will enjoy and feel a part of this unusual community and the experiences within.
The narration by Kirsten Potter was delivered brilliantly.

Darling Unconventional Western Romance!

Savage Wells, Wyoming needs a new sheriff and the town decides to advertise for the position all over the Wild West. Gun-slinging lawmen come to throw in their hats for the position, but no one expects Miss Paisley Bell to also throw in her bonnet. Sparks fly as the contestants try to outdo each other for the badge, but not all of those sparks come from guns.
Eden paints the picture of the frontier town of Savage Wells and it’s townspeople living in the Wild West. She weaves a slow and steady thread of romance into the fight for the sheriff and adds in some Old West gunfights just to keep readers on their toes!

loved this story

I enjoyed this story so much...the humor, the tension, and the strong characters. My only regret was the ending didn't give me the closure I was wanting.

Choice of Narrator

Didn’t like the narrator’s voice or style, making it hard to get interested in the story.
