Fantastic!

I purchased both ?The Power of Intention? and this audio program. I liked this one better. In this live lecture Dr. Dyer covers the same material found in the book, but does it in a much more engaging and motivating fashion. The regular audio book is scripted and I find myself drifting my attention. I would read the actual book and listen to this audio book. The program is most definitely worth an audible credit!

I don't know how this got such a high rating...

I bought this book because of the high ratings and recommendations from other readers. I was sadly disappointed. If you're used to Amazon and the serendipity of finding a good book based on others opinions, you'll be surprised to find out that this is an unscripted mass of psycho-babble. Think 'intention' EQUALS 'the secret power & energy of the universe' EQUALS God and you have all you need to know.
I find it very disturbing that so many people rated this book so highly. Either there is a small cult at work here, or general standards of value and merit are seriously warped when it comes to self-help books. You've been warned - save the book credit.

I love it!

I have found that my way of thinking is a lot more positive since listening to this. I do the housework, go shopping, drive etc. while listening and I actually feel my life changing - I am automatically feeling more grateful for my life. I love it!!

Cultivate Synchronicity

Every bad review I see on this book/audiobook revolves around the author's conception of God. Christians (and let me emphasize here that I consider myself to be one) are resistant to any characterization of God that falls outside that of an omniscient personality doling out punishment and rewards according to his own prerogative. The word "God" does not and cannot describe the whole reality of God. There is more to you than your name. So it is with God. There are more things in Heaven and Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy. Please, discover the truth yourself. Doubt before you believe. Read the Bible, and then read Bohm's Implicate order. Truth is that which is consistent with reality, no matter how strange and unconventional that reality might seem. Know what is real, investigate, find the truth.

Inspiring

Dr. Dyer is an excellent motivator and that's what I find so attractive about this lecture. There is so much good to be found inside. He talks of kindness, of attracting good people into your life, prayer, meditation/pondering, returning love for hateful actions. There's a couple dozen things that I just love about this book that I can't explain all in one paragraph. I do believe it to be an inspired work.

Great

Dr. D always has something new in every new book. This however is really a seminar based on the book and not a reading of his book "The Power of Intention". But his seminars are great, and funny. He makes you laugh, think and have hope. Although he does bring up some stories that he previously used in other seminars, the information here is fresh, and the stories are one you could listen to over and over. If you read or listened to his manifesting series, this compliments and adds to it perfectly. I listened to the entire 6 hours straight.

the simplicity in which Dr Dyer explains how the faces of intention determine how we live our lives, if you intend to get pain, suffering, little money, you are right, you will get that. If you intend on feeling good, access abundance, (expecting it to be there, not looking for it), you will live a life free of burdensome thinking. endless searching for the moment you cannot find, it is now. you already have it!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes because I read the Power of Intention and this is just a hearing of the different way he brings it across, it is 7 hours so not in one sitting but I get his point in the first sitting.

This is a must read, I first read Excuses Begone, this is my first recommendation of his teachings. I was in Deep Depression and had struggled with it for most of my life. This time it was so bad, I only got out of bed to work part time from home, eat, essentials. I started reading Excuses begone and realized I was holding on to old negative thinking patterns that basically got me to this point. Once I let go of them, they were GONE! I felt instant peace and never go back to the pain of the past anymore. If you are struggling with yourself, constant thinking, worrying. Get his books! especially Excuses Begone and Power of Intention. The two books changed the way I live my life now. More satisfying! Best Quote of Dr Dyers

Life Changing

Wow! What a book. This was my first book by Dr Dyer but not my Last!!! I found it very inspirational. It really makes you think. It made a real impact on the way I look at life, my family and relationships. Need a new outlook on life..you will find it here!!

Contradictions to an extreme

"Don't take prescription drugs he says." Then later "So I was at the store picking up a prescription for my son...". UG. On the good side he has some interesting stories about life which were thought provoking. Here and there I was able to pick up something that was interesting. But most of the book seemed like the author was someone that was unable to grasp that he even existed. He sounds amazed that he is even alive. "Just spread love and joy and everything is ok". Thats the type of book this is. "how would I solve the problems of the middle east? Well I would encircle the place with as many people as possible sending out loving thoughts to everyone. Now how could anyone be mad with such overflowing love?". Ok if you think that is a logical solution to a 3000 year old religious conflit then this is the book for you.
