In this breathtaking conclusion to the Moonwind Mysteries, Mika must brave a criminal underworld and unmask an infamous killer before he strikes again.

It’s early spring in Stockholm, and thirteen-year-old Mika Moonwind is navigating a complicated new life—working in the very orphanage where she was raised and finally reuniting with her mother. When one of the ramshackle sheds that the Girls gang calls home goes up in a blaze, leading to a beloved member’s death, Mika jumps into action.

While the fire initially seems like an accident, Mika feels in her gut that something more sinister is at play. Detective Hoff agrees. It looks like murder. Suspicions lean toward a phantom killer known as the Black Viper. But why would a notorious assassin linked to murders across the country target this young woman in Stockholm?

Racing through Sweden’s criminal underworld, Mika must use her sharp observational skills and network of unlikely allies to stop this killer. Because Mika will always stand up for her friends, and those who remain must live on for the ones who didn’t make it. Mika and Detective Hoff are back in this thrilling final installment of the Moonwind Mysteries!
