Sintesi dell'editore

By the end of World War I, Britain had promised control of Palestine to both Arabs and Jews. Each of these peoples claimed a longstanding right to the same piece of land, and violence was inevitable. This presentation examines how and why this magical land has become a virtual war zone.

Propaganda

Starts off somewhat neutral except for a curious claim that almost all current Jews are descendants of the khazzars. As the book proceeds it becomes more and more one sided against Israel until it finishes as pure misstatements and propaganda.

outstanding slice of history and politics

This is an absolute must read for anyone living in this time of international terrorism and war. It gives an outstanding history and insight of the politics underlying the Middle East, and the formation of the Israel and Palestinian states and conflict. I actually read (listened to) it several times, and I glean something new every time. I have come to develop a good understanding of why they (all sides in the Middle East conflict) are doing what they are doing (even if I don't agree with their "methods"). This also gives a good background of the personalities historically involved in the region, and of events that changed the shape of history.

Old book but informative but missed a lot of points

As I have read dozens of long books on this topic so I consider myself very knowledgeable in this area. I really did not get much from it. But for a two hour book I listened to it. It’s old but for some basic facts is ok if you do not know much about it. I felt he made allot of wrong assumptions based on opinion rather than facts but it’s only two hours long so I guess it’s just a very short overview on a very complicated topic.

Kept it interesting and moving

The narrators were able to keep the different personalities alive in the minds eye. Kept the story teal, fresh and entertaining as well as educational.

Limited.

I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. I did think that the content lacked depth and balance as it pertains to Israeli Arab relations.
