simple

Simply written, this tale of possible irish emmigration was charming. though you could guess the end the characters are what kept you going. I wish I could have sat on the bench next to molly and gazed upon the harbor asking how life has been so far.

Pleasant book

I originally downloaded this thinking it was something different but continued listening anyway.
A nice book filled with lots of details. A snapshot of an era from years gone by contrasting 3 very different places around the world. Whilst tracking the lives of a family separated it does remind me of an older generation that still lives in Ireland.
The narrator has a nice voice but the accents are not always that good which can be off putting.
A gentle listen to with no huge twists, turns or shocks. Might be unfair to judge any other books by the same author but I am not sure I would be rushing to pick up another book by her as I feel it is more of a book for the sake of a book and that the other books will be very similar.
