Sintesi dell'editore
It can no longer be assumed that most people - or even most Christians - have a basic understanding of the Bible. Many don’t know the difference between the Old and New Testament, and even the more well-known biblical figures are often misunderstood. It is getting harder to talk about Jesus accurately and compellingly because listeners have no proper context with which to understand God’s story of redemption. In this basic introduction to faith, D. A. Carson takes seekers, new Christians, and small groups through the big story of scripture. He helps listeners to know what they believe and why they believe it. The companion leader’s guide helps evangelistic study groups, small groups, and Sunday school classes make the best use of this book in group settings.
D. A. Carson is research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is the author or editor of more than 40 books and is one of the leaders of the Gospel Coalition.

I will listen to this one again
This book is insightful and thought provoking. It is a book worthy of my resources of time and money. It is very interesting and beneficial to listen to. Also it was excellently narrated. I'm very selective and discerning so this short review is saying a lot.

Great intro to the biblical storyline
D.A. Carson, as one might expect, does a wonderful job of both presenting the storyline of the Bible as a whole, but also doing so in a winsome and thoroughly understandable manner. This book is for both those who want a clear outline of the Bible, but also for those who are curious about what the Bible is all about.

Excellent overview of the Bible and theology
This book has something for everyone. I originally bought this book for my high school son to listen to and get an overview of the biblical basics. I decided to listen first to see how the whole thing was expecting to not hear a lot of new things but just a different voice on established theologies and ideas. I did hear that but it was done in such a deep yet simple way that I found new insights to ponder. The elegant connections that D.A. Carson has put together of themes and Old and New Testament stories while lining out the character of God was brilliant and lovely. The narrator was easy to listen to and had a soothing voice. This will be in my re-listen pile.

God’s Plan from Genesis to Revelation
The author has written a clear yet profound exposition of the whole Bible. He sees the OT and NT as one continuous story of God’s plan of redemption for fallen humanity—the Redeemer promised in the Old and the Redeemer who came in the New. The Gospel is proclaimed throughout. The ultimate goal of history is the glory of God. All comes together in Revelation where the redeemed creation enjoys God forever in the New Heaven and New Earth. This is a valuable resource for both new and mature believers. I really appreciated the narrator. His deep voice was very pleasing. His reading style kept me focused.

Wonderful Book! Outstanding!
What a great survey of Biblical teaching and a coincise, yet thorough theological introduction. I would certainly recommend to new Christians - and more seasoned ones would definitely benefit from Wilson's teaching.

Like reading a text book
Listening to this book took me back to sitting in a collage lecture. You are listening to someone give their idea of what something means with no emotion at all and some of the interpretations seemed hard to swallow even if he did talk like he believed any of it.
