First weak entry in the series. It isn’t even all bad, but too long and meandering, and the titular “boy” isn’t half as interesting as the author probably intended him to be, and the whole novel suffers from it. Still, a lot of good parts and intruguing, even hilarious encounters and action. Worth a read.
The narrator could have been bothered to look up how to pronounce Charle de Gaulle (not “sharldegollé”).
