With the help of a treasure trove of letters, magazine articles, newspaper clippings, and personal journal entries from his mother, author Sherry Kelly has compiled a touching and comprehensive account of the life of Michael Dunn, the famous "little person" actor of the '60s and '70s. Michael was well known as Dr. Loveless in The Wild Wild West TV series and was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the movie Ship of Fools. Dunn lived an amazing life from childhood until his mysterious death in London while filming a movie.
The Big Life of a Little Man is a story of courage, determination, triumph, and one family's abounding love. Sherry Kelly's other works include A Cat Named Zooby and Your New Baby's Instruction Book.

... Lost in Print, Found in Sound ...
After I couldn't find a reasonable price for this out-of-print book, I turned to sound, since I wanted to know more about the actor Michael Dunn. I was pleasantly surprised at the story, his home life, career... and felt empathy for his failed marriage & early death. Thanks to Sherry Kelly for putting this story together about her cousin, Gary Miller (Michael Dunn), and more thanks for Melissa Madole, who did such a good job recording it. I've listened to it more than once now, and will probably listen to it again while out walking the neighborhood with headphones, it's such a good story about a man who didn't let his physical limitations stop him from becoming a success in his chosen field(s), in both acting and singing. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about the man who portrayed Dr. Loveless from 'The Wild Wild West', a determined small man who made it big in his career. Heartwarming. Such a good story.
