Only scratch the surface!

I was looking for a more in depth audio, that provides more definitions to terminology uses, specific tax codes, rather than a quick glimpse into taxation & estate planning. There's quite a bit of history references and legal matters I was enlightened regarding.

I'm going to keep searching for the audio that will prepare me for the CTFA and tie the readings together in audio. I would recommend if you like history and want a few ah-ha moments. I'm in the hunt for the meaty audio.

Worth the money

Enjoyed it, but was hoping for a few more specifics on trusts and was hoping for more guidance on strategy.

brief general information, didn't elaborate much

If you don't know much about the three topics, then you will learn general knowledge from the book as they just covered the basics in 2 hours. the book is unable to go deeper in each topic. more like a 101 book for total newbies. I learned a lot about the irrevocable living trusts vs probate.
It is outdated so I am certain lots of rules here are changed already.

Eye-opening information

The book has a lot of information that is not so familiar to most Americans. I was amazed by the sections that talk about asset protection, law suits and all the taxes that were created.

No useful info-Anti-Gov/Taxes Historical Rant

This book is basically a conservative anti-government and anti-taxes rant covering pre World War 1 through the late 1990s. It has no useful information for today if you are looking to actually learn about options available today and how to start them. What little they do cover is brief and always refers you to a professional CPA or Lawyer. It was an interesting read about the history of taxes in this country from the conservative anti-government/anti-taxes point of view, even if some of the arguments they try to make are based on false statements they view as facts and are actually opinions. To summarize, if you are looking for useful information to help you today then don't waste your time on this book, however, if you want to learn a one-sided view on the history of taxes and government in this US then it is an interesting read.

Good narrator; interesting material

I was pleasantly surprised. It’s pretty interesting. What’s nice is that it doesn’t hover in subjects excessively long. I would recommend spending the time to listen if you’re into business/taxes/history.

Love the end covers tax history

This was a great book that helped me explain how taxes were in the 70% at one point in American history and how the people hated taxes and how the government made measures to make taxes seem less imposing and ultimately fulling the people into believing that they should pay taxes. Great book.

Kept Me Going

I was afraid the legalistic language would lose me, however I soaked up this book and learned to look at business, politics, & government differently in a positive way. I recommend the listen 👍
