Sintesi dell'editore

Law professor Myles Eaton knows a lot can happen in 10 years. A decade ago, Philadelphia’s finest bachelor was a hotshot attorney engaged to a woman he swore he’d love forever - until she left him to marry a powerful politician. The only thing more difficult than forgiving her has been forgetting the searing heat they shared. And just when Myles is sure he’s over her, Zabrina Cooper arrives back in his life.

Nothing could stop Zabrina from loving Myles, not even when she was blackmailed into becoming wife - in name only - to another man. And as her secrets are revealed, Zabrina has one summer to convince Myles that beyond their incredible chemistry is a soul-deep bond that never faded.

Humm

Overall I'd say that this was a good read. The overall plot was a bit unrealistic but aren't most. Good job Alers

Great Book

I love the storyline. This book makes me believe that there are do overs in relationships.

Ridiculous plot

The most entertaining part of it was the narrators mispronunciation of common words. Aside from the poor reading, the plot was flat and unbelievable. The characters were poorly developed and their behaviors made no sense. I received this book as part of the romance package so technically it was free but I think my time spent listening was too costly and I would like a refund.

Distracted by Mispronunciation

What did you like best about Sweet Deception? What did you like least?

I stumbled upon the Eaton series. I do like serials as they can give a reader an opportunity to learn more about characters (or, in this case, a family).

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

A little unrealistic, but still entertaining.

What didn’t you like about Erica Love’s performance?

Although animated and great voices for the characters, Ms. Love mispronounced quite a number of words and mixed up the genders for personal pronouns (saying "he" when "she" was appropriate and vice versa). Occasional mispronounced words can be overlooked, but I found the frequency distracting. This was the second audio book narrated by Ms. Love that I have experienced this same problem.

Do you think Sweet Deception needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

I know there are more about the Eatons. I will read them.

Enjoyable but...

This book was a good listen. It was too drawn out. The plot could've been better. It was a little to unrealistic for this day in age especially set in my hometown of Philadelphia.
