Ugly

Spanish people are not idiot like this book shows. The reader seems to imitate Mexican people talking in English but in reality it is a mass of stereotypes.

Not ever so helpful

I have downloaded a few Spanish learning audiobooks recently and this was the least helpful. The "airheaded" American tourist character was irritating and the Mexican gentleman's voice was too indistinct for me to hear him clearly, so not much use for learning. The narrator was better so I did learn a bit, but there are better audiobooks for the purpose on Audible, e.g Instant Immersion: Spanish by Jenny Lona, so perhaps try that instead.
