Heartbreaking
This series gets more and more heartbreaking. Garon is to be sacrificed and turned into a horrible God. Its completely horrible. All the times Belgarion and Ce'Nedra are lured with images of their son. And it's getting closer and closer.
I do wonder though if Belgarion will ever be a disciple of Aldur. If he and Ce'Nedra will live for thousands of years.

Just incredible story, well read.
David Eddings was an under appreciated author and the last two books of the Mallorean series truly signify his abilities. His stories are lighthearted, yet heartfelt, and exciting without the darkness that many modern authors inject into their work.
SoD showcases 9 books worth of character development to deliver a story that’s just fun to read or listen to over and over again.

Amazing book and series!
Love all of these books. The narrator is sometimes inconsistent with the character accents (some start out sounding almost German, then switch to English/Cockney; when 2 characters are speaking to each other, sometimes the narrator doesn’t switch accents until part-way into the second characters lines, etc.) It’s a little distracting, but the content is amazing: these are some of my favorite books, I’ve been re-reading them since I was a teen.

The Story continues
I found this a bit wittier than the other books, but the story still goes on, and I can't wait until I listen to the next (and last) book.

If you have listened this far into the series, then you know that you are in the presence of greatness. From the writing to the production to the wonderful talent of Cameron Beierle... This is a collaboration of epic proportions.

Great presentation with one issue
This is a great audio presentation. If asked to be critical, I could mention that some of the author’s voices come out a little muddled. They were none of the main characters so it does not detract from the whole story.

Love the story
Love the story.
Cameron Beierle reading is fine apart from his mispronunciation of quays , which sets my teeth on edge , and he occasionally seems to be confused with the different voices . Other than that bring on the next instalment.

Great story. Good narration
Continuing to thoroughly enjoy revisiting these stories from my youth. Great fantasy series with enjoyable narration. don't really understand the bad reviews people are giving the books narrator at all tbh.

Not great narration.
One of my all time favourite stories. However, the narration makes it difficult to
Listen to. Apart from Chereks having awful accents that make them sound like the Swedish chef from the muppets, and Arends sounding like a very poor attempt at a French patois, every other people in the planet sound like Americans. This would make sense except the nobility and govt officials of these nations all sound vaguely Mediterranean( very vaguely). While the regular folk all sound like swamp dwelling extras from deliverance. The most painful of all is Garion. The hero of the story, godkiller and arch sorcerer is narrated as totally thick, from book one as farmboy, to the last book as saviour of the universe, he sounds like a confused surfer dude that could not be trusted to look after an empty house. If you can only manage one accent, you probably should not be barrating a series that travels the whole world.

Excellent story
Love the books by Eddings. The narrator makes too many errors with his pronunciation.

if only the reader knew a center pronunciation
Good story. shame reader does not know how to speak with a cell pronunciation of certain term. detracts from a good story.

Fantastic well read story
I really enjoyed this. David Eddings is one of my favourite authors and was unsure what to expect from the audible version versus the written book.
The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters to life, no easy task with so many of them. At times he drops in to the wrong accent but then corrects later on but I still really enjoyed listening.

good overall
good story, keeps you hooked. The narrator was okay once you get used to the style. My only gripe is the female characters are irritating. They are either out and out patronising, or downright Barbie. The less clichéd females start out great until they succumb to the well behaved, obedient, cook the food, do as they're told, avoid the fights, take lots of baths etc. in fact, I hated the obey your elders, don't answer back, don't ask questions, be polite mode that flowed through the books. apart from that, admittedly minor, gripe, the books were well plotted and enjoyable, and I kept going which says it all really. I'd recommend the series.

Sheer brilliance
Endings does it once again. The story is building to what I expect to be an exciting crescendo.
