Inhanced my love of cycling

Thanks for giving insight on varieties of the cycling experience I might otherwise never have known and thoughts to think about along the way! This book has inspired me to ride my bike across North Carolina.

Cycling: Philosophy for Everyone

If you could sum up Cycling in three words, what would they be?

Not only for gear heads.

Any additional comments?

This book goes a long way in explaining why we ride bikes and can be so addicted to the activity.

Mentally engaging. A great book.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

What about the narrator’s performance did you like?

Great narration.

Any additional comments?

Too much doping chatter and Lance worship. I skipped the Lance chapters...I get it, you met him and love him. These chapters could have been more philosophical rather than more smoke blown up Lance's ass.

This book makes me want to stop cycling.

I was sold on this book by the preview, where cycling quotes were read. That was the best part of this book. It was so frustrating to listen to this that I couldn't make it through 3 chapters. Really disappointing.

Must have.

This was my third audio book revolving around cycling. Enjoyed the tales, and how different chapters were written by other people. Great flow, just a little dry in comparison. It's all about the bike, and the 95 cycling rules were much more my speed. if you are a cyclists, it's still a must have

Awesome book. I would recommend this book to anyone who rides... Novice to professional. It helps you to understand the mind of a cyclist.

Philosophy for Everyone - Enjoyment for None?

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

For starters, not spending 30 minutes (and I am not exaggerating) with an overall preview, followed by a section by section preview, followed by further previews. Never before have I found myself screaming "GET ON WITH IT!" to an audiobook.

What will your next listen be?

Anything to with cycling, nothing to do with Philosophy.

Any additional comments?

I bought this after reading the publisher's summary:" interesting and varied philosophical terrain" mmm and " in a fun but critical way" not in my world. Occasionally interesting, largely very heavy going and dull.
