Sintesi dell'editore
The Scriven people are brilliant, mad - and dead. All except one, whose monstrous creation is nearly complete - a giant city on wheels. New London terrifies the rest of the world, and an army of mammoth-riders gathers to fight it. Meanwhile, young Fever Crumb begins a hunt for Ancient technology in their icy strongholds. She finds a mysterious black pyramid full of secrets. It will change her world forever. Scrivener's Moon follows Fever Crumb and A Web of Air to complete one of the most exciting and inventive fantasy adventures series ever recorded for audio.

Irritating narrator
A good end to the trilogy, though I’d love to read more. But the narrator drove me crazy. She did ok with the voices, but when reading the prose, her inflections made it sound like she was reciting in a poetry slam. I much preferred the reader of book two, Jenny Agutter. It was almost a relief to reach the end of this book, though the story was riveting.

5 stars for the story, neg 10 for the narrator
The first 2 books, the narrators were great. This one was painful but I was already invested in the series, so suffered through this one just to listen to the story. Should have read it myself but already purchased the audio book. Holy ridiculous affectations, did the narrator even follow the previous 2 books?

Why change the narrator?!
Ugh. The first book was great and narrated by the author who was fabulous, then the second book had a great female narrator, but I just started the third and the new narrator is AWFUL. Ridiculously over dramatic, all the characters sound like complete morons and I can hardly dear to keep it on. Whyyyy

great story, terrible narration
I can't understand why a different narrator was used on each of the three books in this series, but the narration for this book was so different from the other two that it made listening difficult.
The narrator's voice sounded like she was faking a British accent. She placed odd emphasis on words that made it difficult to tell when she had finished a sentence. Speeding the playback up to 1.2x normal speed made this tolerable, but not enjoyable.

Story jumps from one place to another
It’s so hard to follow along! I loved the first set of this series and was honestly hoping this would be better given it’s basically the prequel. I’m going to finish it but honestly, if I knew it was going to go from one story line to another I wouldn’t have gotten it. I’ve read plenty of books that do this but I’ve never had a hard time with them like this book.

Underwhelmed
I thoroughly enjoyed the Mortal Engines series. This series feels sort of 'warmed over'. I understand that back story is necessary but the characters just did not really capture my imagination or interest. If the Mortal Engines is a bright new star, Fever Crumb is the small, dim planet orbiting it.

Confusing, disappointing
Reeve seems to have run out of material in this last installment of the Fever Crumb trilogy. A great deal of the latter half of the story concerns Fever’s besotted interest with a female from another tribe, and there is the obligatory war at the end in which I found I did not care about any of the participants.
If the Fever Crumb narrative was to explain the the impossibly impractical reasons for a moving city from the viewpoint of a technical mind, it fell short.
Still, Reeve’s word craft added interest to an otherwise languishing finale.

Book 5 stars; narration negative 5 stars
Loved all the ME and FC books but had to force myself to finish this due to the narrator's atrocious character voices and accents. If I hadn't already been so emotionally invested in the series, I would have not continued to listen to this book. Book, 5 stars; narration, negative 5 stars.

Great book ruined by narrator😟
Poor narrator, loved author's narration of first book in series and Jenny Agutter good too, but am sad to say l feel this narration felt forced, everything over pronounced every other word seems to be read as if underlined or with an exclamation mark.
Hope this book will be released again with Philip Reeve as narrator or just anyone better!

Narration
The excellence of Garth Nix's work is without question but how on earth could Audible allow such an inept reader to narrate it
Sarah Coomes has no feeling for this book and is obviously unaware of the power of the material that she presents. Her intonation can be compared to that of a foreign language student where the end of every statement end with an up-tilted ,questioning tone.
I looked forward to the release of this audio book for so long but was nearly brought to tears by the narration. There are so many excellent narrators in your stable.
Please, Audible, listen to this yourselves and never do this to me again.

Such a shame
This is such a shame, I have enjoyed all the other audible books in this series and in Mortal Engines, but I couldn’t even get 2 chapters into this before turning it off.
The reading is just terrible, random words during each sentence are annoyingly extended or over exaggerated
Was really looking forward to hearing the end of this series, so disappointed

great story but didn't enjoy narrator change
Was disappointed that the narrator made characters sound really posh. This created discrepancy between this book and the rest of the series.

Great story, dreadful narration
I am so sorry Sarah Coomes, but this was not one of your best performances. This story and book is ruined by a janky, weird pronunciation of words, really bad character adaptation and some pretty jarring sentence cadence. That coupled with some really, really bad accents, means I came so close to abandoning this book after the first chapter.
She has obviously not read any of the other books and the production team putting this together failed to give any guidance. I felt the characters portrayed here, are totally different to the ones established in the first 2 books. This is an interesting insight into how the narrator influences characters.
The final book in the Fever Crumb series deserves better than this. That being said, the writing didn't disappoint and a great read all the same, making this a solid book. Shame about the narration.

Really Enjoyed this
I love this writer and actually this narrator - i was surprized to read the criticisms below. Her other books are amazing - she has a really lovely voice and tells stories beautifully - so, while she doesn't sound comfortable on this book, she would have had a director. The final recording style and how the voices are characterised is up to them not her. So perhaps she didnt feel comfortable with what she was being asked to do? It does happen. And the sound quality on this book overall isn't my favourite -I can't put my finger on it, but maybe sounds a bit tinny? But I still really enjoyed it.

Awful narration and slightly disappointing end
I spent the first half of this book desperately trying to adjust to the narrator, weird emphasis on random words and equally odd character voices. beyond that, the story didn't get going as well as in other books by the author and I felt disappointed by the ending; wish it had been more epic, somehow.
