Why would you publish this?
I’m having a major beef with how incomplete these books are becoming. These last two in particular have shown that the books simply stop and don’t complete a full story. The author has fallen in literary love with his villain and has taken our focus off the main character to tell us more about a villain whom had no backstory, little care for anything and no real drivers besides revenge for not killing the mc. These short stories should’ve been a spin off and the books should focus on the mc that brought you to this point. Expanding on our mcs teammates and their backstories would’ve been a better us e of the authors time. I will strongly consider not getting the next book if it’s this short.

Good usually
I liked the book and the characters interactions. The issue is that in certain chapters they literally copied entire scenes from book 4 same wording same jokes. identical. I actually had to check if I accidentally started the fourth book. Other than that chapter it was really good

too short
i relly like the series but this book was way to short and the story that was there was good but felt rushed and there was a lot more that could have gone in to this one left me felling like it was not really worth wating for and defnitly questining if it was worth buying it

Good but too short.
I like the series still but they're getting shorter and shorter and the price doesn't change. They need to be either 33% longer or 33% cheaper.

needed more....and less
too short. and to much following sunny. the first full chapter of sunny was fine, like a get to know him. but after that it was just beating your face into "here is my bad guy love him". even then why put him in the smack middle of the action with Mc.

no more sunny please
already had enough of sunny last book I totally skipped his backstory after the epilogue so one hour less of a already short book no clue why author felt it was needed would of preferred more info about any of the other characters in the book even the group going after the protagonist anyone but sunny could of been 5 stars

Five stars without the Gin Sonny chapters
Story would be five stars without the Gin Sonny chapters. Not looking for a book exploring the motivations of a psychopath.

Never hire a crazy serial killer
So by this point anyone reading this has either read the other books well listened in this case. Or is being really thorough in their research. As usual this book is good but I do have one caveat. It might be me but in several spots in the book I heard sentences and maybe a whole paragraph of text that seemed pulled from the previous books. It threw me when I got to them as it pulled my mind from this story to the previous ones. The reason I don't dock points for that is because I'm not sure if it's really there or my brain is acting up. In any case I enjoyed this book and am starting on the next one immediately.

Sucked in too long with this poorly written over extended….
So I enjoyed the first couple of books and then got suckered into book 3-4 spending credits, but this last was a mess with multiple rep of dialogue, skipping here and there and loosing the original enjoyment. But most of all the series is too many books for minimal content. In fact I’ve decided to pause my audible subscription, maybe I’ll get back into actually reading, authors that I know and trust …

Unsung of the other side
I love the character and the kaiden i enjoy that he isnt a martyr stue character and actually has flaws and sometimes relay on people and isnt amazing at everything which his friend and team Can do the stuff he cant,
I love how we get to hear more of our villian an shit i started to feel bad about his past and Got annoyed what the bully did love This book serie
Fully recommand its a good listen and good time to spend during work hours etc
I chose the rating Cause thats what my gut is telling me and i dont regret it
