Sintesi dell'editore

After years of imprisonment and solitary confinement, enduring inhumane torture, Richard Wurmbrand emerges with a powerful testimony of courageous faith. Even today, believers are suffering and dying for Christ, yet their faith will not falter under the most unthinkable persecutions. In this stirring account, Wurmbrand (founder of The Voice of the Martyrs) encourages us to remember those in chains and equips us to help our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ around the world.

Shows the big picture.

Excellent book, well written.
1) u will immediately realize how communism & God can not mix.
2) shows big picture. Although we disagree about small things concerning God, love is above all.
3) we (USA) are spoiled with freedom. Don't take it for granted seek to help those those w/o our freedoms find God & the messiah.

Wow.

A very stirring account the horrors of communism and the plight of the persecuted church at large. Reading this book has caused me to examine myself and consider all of my daily freedom's that I take for granted. I have been reminded of what the Bible says about one member suffering and how we all suffer and are bound together as one.

WOW

What a powerful book, it needs to be listened to by every believer. We need to pray for persecuted believers and help in any way we can. We must also commit ourselves to boldly proclaiming the glorious gospel of Jesus.

Troubled

One can not comprehend the wickedness of the unsaved world and how that satanic evil is directed against those who love God and wish only to share that love with those who torture them.

I liked it

I liked the book however being written only 3 days after he was released you can clearly hear his anger and frustration with the outside world making many hasty generalizations

A MUST listen to anybody with sober thinking

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tortured for Christ?

Perseverance and commitment to be faithful of the suffering Christians wherever they suffer.

Any additional comments?

When I listened to the first 10-20 minutes I wanted to return this audiobook and something was holding me from it. If I had returned it I would have made one of the biggest mistakes in my Christian life and I would have missed what I see now as one of the strongest messages of my Christian life. The author said that when after 14 years of prison for his faith he came to the West he suffered more by witnessing what was happening with the Western Church - how the Christians in the West lost their zeal for God's teaching and diluted it with secularism and liberal thinking.
For me it is a wake-up call.
Thank you for this powerful reminder!!!
