The years since have confirmed Lindsey's insights into what biblical prophecy says about the times we live in: the rebirth of Israel, the threat of war in the Middle East, an increase in natural catastrophes, the revival of Satanism and witchcraft. These and other signs, foreseen by prophets from Moses to Jesus, portend the coming of an antichrist, of a war which will bring humanity to the brink of destruction, and of incredible deliverance for a desperate, dying planet.
Well i first read this book over 30 years ago. It is a great read and very easy to understand. The original bible prophecy book that spawned all others. If you want to know what the bible says about the future and how it could effect your life this is the book.

Having heard about this book most of my life, I've vowed to read it but never got around to it. Thankfully it showed up as an audible selection and I'm so grateful for that! Now I know why this book is considered a must read, having been written in 1970 and yet it fortells of events that are happening 50 years later. Amazing! There is most definitely a bit of religious bias that I could split hairs over, but I can admire the work whole heartedly and even call it divinely inspired without hesitation. The narrator is clear and easy on the ears. He has a scholarly tone that is well-suited to the subject matter.

This book was written in 1970. I can see today in 2017 where all these things are coming to pass with startling accuracy. The summarization of the Final Chapter gave me chills.
The Handwriting is on the wall and The Late Great Planet Earth has made it abundantly clear.
this is one that I will listen to several times. prophecy paralleling with current events all should take serious. if you want to understand what's coming next & how things turn out read scripture references offered in this book then turn on the news to catch world events, it'll change your perspective
Would you try another book from Hal Lindsey and C. C. Carlson and/or James Adams?
Why advertise that audible is available for this title when it isn't? No to the above question.
What made the experience of listening to The Late Great Planet Earth the most enjoyable?
The talent that read the book was engaging, as well as the content of the book was interesting. It was interesting to see how the author saw the prophecies of the bible, and how close they really predict the world.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
There is a section around chapter 10-12 where it felt that the author lost the direction of the work, which was to show how the bible prophesies can be connected to the events of the world both at the time and in the author's future, and took a path of more sermon than prophetic review. It does tie in to the flow of the book, however, it detracted from the premise for me a bit.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This was a book that compels you to take it all in, in as big of a bite as you possibly can. You want to see the how the prophesies fit as much as you can and as quickly as you can. He really engages the curiosity of those who want to see the connections.
Any additional comments?
This is truly not a book for the non-believer, as the author suggests. Be prepared to have your theories and personal prophecies about the world and it's coming future shaken to it's core, as Hal takes you through a case of prophecy definition that you never considered before. You will look at the world today, and see that he had a good idea of how the world would come about back in 1970. He may have not hit it all on the mark, but he is definitely well within the ballpark, and you should go back and follow up with the bible to see how it all is connected and told.
Any additional comments?
