Sintesi dell'editore
The most dangerous man in the world is back.
David Morrell's First Blood introduced Rambo, who joined the ranks of Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, James Bond, and Harry Potter as an international thriller icon. In this sequel, Rambo is in prison for his one-man war against a small-town police chief. His former commanding officer, Colonel Trautman, arrives with a promise to release him, with two conditions. First, Rambo must return to the Vietnamese prison camp from which he escaped and find the missing Americans rumored to be prisoners there. The second condition? Don't rescue the prisoners. Only bring back photographs. Under no circumstances engage the enemy. For Rambo, the first part is difficult. But the second is impossible. This novelization and the film have many differences. Listen to the story that the film could have had.
"David Morrell is, to me, the finest thriller writer living today, bar none."
--Steve Berry, New York Times bestselling author of The Columbus Affair
"Morrell, an absolute master of the thriller, plays by his own rules and leaves you dazzled."
--Dean Koontz, New York Times bestselling author of 77 Shadow Street
"The father of the modern action novel."
--Vince Flynn, New York Times bestselling author of Kill Shot

Another great performance and story!
Where does Rambo rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Not the best by any means, but certainly enjoyable.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Rambo?
The suspense and action
Which character – as performed by Eric G. Dove – was your favorite?
The Rambo character for sure - Once again, Eric Dove did a great job at making Rambo sound just like Sylvester Stallone did in the movies.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Action packed thriller!
Any additional comments?
If you enjoyed the Rambo Film series, it's almost a certainty that you'll enjoy the book as well.

More like the movie than the reviews and author would have you believe!
And that’s a good thing as Rambo first blood part 2 is my favorite entry into the series. The skeleton of the screenplay is intact as well as much of the dialogue. There’s some differences and of course you get more fleshed out character development but if you’re a fan of Rambo, you won’t be disappointed.

Better than the movie! Felt kinda like Metal Gear Solid 3
This book was surprisingly well done! I don’t know what I was expecting, considering that the movie was a little over the top and kind of unbelievable. But this book took pains to make Rambo a more sympathetic and believable character. It was really cool getting to see him break bad in Vietnam one last time. and, as an added bonus, this book had some very strong Metal Gear Solid 3 vibes, somehow written long before Metal Gear was a thing

Surprisingly good
Why the surprise? I'm not a big Rambo movie fan. I think I've seen it on TV but never actually sat down to watch it if you know what I mean. This book was really good, makes you understand the character more and of course the fun action that's expected of it. Going to find others in the series to listen to.

Return to Hell!
The contradiction from the end of First Blood Part I to the beginning of Part II is a fact in literary history. At the end of Part I, Colonel Troutman killed Rambo. At the beginning of Part II, Colonel Troutman gets Rambo released from prison to perform a mission with the CIA. The mission was to rescue POWs from Viet Nam. What he quickly discovered was that the prison camp to infiltrate was the same one he was held prisoner and tortured. All of you that have seen the movie remember how that turned out. Rambo’s CIA contact Murdock proved to be what Rambo thought of the CIA. Betrayed to fight a losing war once again. Only this time Rambo gets some revenge. “Murdock, I’m coming for you!”

Really entertaining, well worth a listen
Great entertainment, like the film. The author’s mild obsession with private parts is a little odd, but since it’s for a mature audience anyway I guess it fits in.

Worth a listen
Having not seen the film for many years, and having read several Luke warm novelisations previously of other films, I was sceptical.
However I was pleasantly surprised, reminded of how good the story is in its pure simplicity.
Narration is good enough for the story and it’s a great title to just listen to whilst going about doing other things.
