Not the right format, and maybe not the right book

This is mostly a collection of short sayings. The collection is very valuable, but listening to them one after another does not really do them justice. This is the sort of book that one ought to pick up in order to read a page or two, think for a minute, and then go on.

If you're looking for a smattering of native American thought (as I was), this will do the job. But at the risk of giving away my imprisonment in a thoroughly Western mind, I could have used a bit more editorial effort to organize the various strands of thought. For example, the tribe of each speaker is given, but there is no explanation of what significance this might hold, or how the tribes related to one another. Dates for the quotations would also have been illuminating. I think most listeners who buy this title because they are curious about native American thought will find their curiosity largely unsatisfied.

Good Lessons

Great insight into honest thought. No hustle and bustle just plain truths for a wonderful life. My 17y/o daughter listens to it sometimes to bring herself back down to earth. Just a calming listening
