Sintesi dell'editore

Cormac Maclean would rather read than rampage, but his fearsome warlord father demands that he prove himself in war. Cormac chooses what he thinks is an easy target, only to encounter a fiery Highland lass leading a doomed rebellion and swearing revenge on him.

Jyne Cambell is not about to give up her castle without a fight, even though her forces are far outnumbered. She's proud, hot-blooded, and hot-tempered. Cormac falls for her hard, but it's going to take all of his ingenuity to get her to surrender gracefully both to his sword and to his heart.

Good listen

It's a little slow going at first but grabs your interest as it goes along ended up being very good

one long story

first this book has no connection to the first book to make it a series now this book is full of fun and some heart warming moments but with no sustained Cormac acts like a teenager willing to to please no wonder is father treat him badly Jyne is a bit strong headed but acts simply minded towards Cormac by the middle of the story with all the lies I am done

Highland Rebel

I loved this book, it has an original plot to the usual stereo types of Scottish romance. The hero quest to save people and himself resulted in very amusing situations and he always had a plan! This is my first book for this author but I already downloaded the second. The performance of the narrator was outstanding!

Not as good as the 1st one

Narration is great. Didn't care for the story line. Not as enjoyable as the first!

Diabolical narrator

Story ok.
narrator was like a pantomime actor no ability to create atmosphere and used the same surprised uplift at the end of every poor Scottish accent, for every phrase. it was hard to tell if it was the male or female lead sometimes, and given that the story was mainly Scottish dialogue maybe a Scottish narrator could have been found.
I bought the first of this series and loved it so much because the narrator was so good that I bought this... by chapter 10 I wanted to throw my device out of the window.
