Sintesi dell'editore

History's great achievers have always managed themselves. That, in large measure is what makes them great achievers. They were once rare exceptions, but in today's world most of us will have to learn to manage ourselves. Peter F. Drucker, author of Management Challenges for the 21st Century, explains that success in the knowledge economy comes to those who know themselves - their strengths, their values, and how they best perform. This article, which originally appeared in the March-April 1999 Harvard Business Review, is offered in audio form exclusively through Audible.

An area for a misunderstanding

I've purchased three of Druker's books from Audible. They are all quite good; however this one while also good is simply a chapter of two from one of the other books. That was disappointing and seems to me that Audible should have provided a head's up on that fact.

A mini masterclass in communication

I learned to major lessons: 1/ it’s easier to leverage your strengths then it is to make small incremental improvements on your weaknesses. 2/ you must communicate your strengths and preferred modality of operating to you co workers/managers AND you must be PROACTIVE about understanding your managers/co workers strengths and preferences (such as being a Listener rather then a reader when it comes to learning).

My only complaint is that the voice is a bit muffled but a good pair of earbuds or being in your car helps a lot.

Cheers to your success!

Review of M Oneself

The narration is faster then it should be. I am not a native English speaker so to follow, and makes notes is hard. Talks about general common sense concepts but gives them good wording.
If you can’t buy it
4 concepts
Feedback analysis
Concentrate on your strengths
Set 18 months goals
Take responsibility for relationships and communication with peers
Chao!

The worst recording I’ve heard... ever!

The sound is terrible. You hear feedback from every word. It’s impossible to listen to this! Shame as had high hopes for this Review.

has good insights.

to be straight forward this audio doesn't have the detailed teaching on how to manage oneself. but i have learnt in order to perform at your best, focus on capitalizing your strengths and not weaknesses. also one will be most effective when they utilize how they learn best.

Managing Oneself by Tevin Gongo

FOCUSING ON STRENGTHS AND REACHING EXCELLENCE IS A BETTER STRATEGY THAN FOCUSING ON WEAKNESSES AND REACHING AT BEST, AVERAGE. MANAGING ONESELF. A great #book for #entrepreneur, #manager and #leader. Actually, a great read for anyone ambitious and willing reach his/her full potential.

What are my strengths? How do I learn? What are my values? How do I contribute? Just a few of the questions Peter Drucker recommends us to ask on a regular basis if we want to be efficient and fulfill or potential. Enjoy that short but powerful book.

Speaker didn't sound clear. Hard to understand for non native English Listener. It's was for free so just try it out.
