Lee Child, Oops
How I enjoyed the earlier, full lenght, books by Mr. Child. Jack Reacher roamed and rambled, his musings on the life he lead and the lives he saw around him as satisfying a read a visiting with wise old great uncke at a family reunion. In this short book, I did like the story, shocked at the ending, in fact, but yhe overall read left me feeling I'd rented the Cliff Notes.

Not Impressed
I’m not impressed by this book. I didn’t like the voice given to Reacher” and any of the women. It was irritating! The story was classic “Reacher” story but seemed shallow and short. I didn’t get much satisfaction for it. I thank the author for not having any narrated “sex” scenes... in other books- they are really creepy and awkward.

Reacher or Batman? Coupay?
I understand having a different performer, and a performer will have a different perspective, but who in the hell thinks that Jack reacher supposed to sound like Batman? Totally different image of the character.
Also, why would he call a coupe a “coupay”?

This Was Not Jack Reacher
I have listened to every Jack Reacher and without Dick Hill reading, it is simply not (in this listener’s mind) a Jack Reacher story.

Story was entertaining, as Jack Reacher stories a
The Story was great. The reader was horrific. He didn't know the correct pronunciation of some words. He made Reacher sound ridiculous with a breathy sound. Don't use him again.

don't be fooled this is not the reacher we love
horrible voice work, turned off after 4 minutes, I found a dick hill version that is twice as long I wish I didn't waste money on this version

A great book spoiled because badly read
I listen Blease of a stroke and when poorly read means I have to stop listening and I did give it a fair go because I am a Jack Reacher fan and have listened to them all and downloaded it in error

Fast and Gripping
A true Lee Child. thriller. narrated well by Kerry Shale.. could have been longer.. didn't want it to end in just 4 hours..

narration is truly awful
you have chosen a narrator not an actor. when you expect people to pay full price then please pay for an actor. I adore lee child. I've got this book but I cant even get to 2nd chapter on audible. I have many audible but this is the most disappointing.

A Sub-Par Thriller
One liner: You've probably read a lot of better thriller novels in your time.
I walked into this book expecting a lot of things, most of which being a compelling thriller that puts me at the edge of my seat - especially after reading aplenty reviews about the same.
It started off intriguing enough with decent world building but started to lose momentum as it neared the end. I was barely thrilled or at the edge of my seat throughout the duration of the book. The end did have a shocking twist that I didn't see coming but overall, I was pretty underwhelmed by this book.
Also note, this was my first ever Jack Reacher novel so I don't know if this is how Lee Child generally writes, because if it is, I'm not a fan. His descriptions, situation and scenarios are more 'military journal' than 'thrilling novel' and if that's what he's going for because of Jack Reacher's background and history, then I guess these books are just not for me.
Overall, this book felt short, with underdeveloped characters and a plot that had nothing going for it besides one twist ending.
