Wade Abbott is one and done.
One look, one conversation, one weekend, and he knows who he wants.
Except Mia Simpson is not free to return his affection. In fact he suspects she's in an abusive marriage, but she never confirms that, and he has no choice but to mind his own business where she's concerned.
Two years after they first met and a year after he last heard from her, Mia shows up half frozen, bruised, and beaten on his doorstep, needing something only Wade can provide.
He's determined to make it work, no matter the cost.

This was a great book and worth the wait. We all knew Wade and Mia's story would be unique because we had a glimpse in the other books of the series. Marie writes with great vision of her story and for what lies ahead. Pick up the series and enjoy the most entertaining stories full of love, laughing, and a few tears. Great job Marie.

Reading a Butler Vermont book to me is like going home to visit my family. I love the Abbott and Coleman families and thoroughly enjoyed Here Comes The Sun.
I have been intrigued by Wade Abbott from the first time he was mentioned and my interest has only been peaked as each book in the series was written. So to say I have been waiting for Wade’s book is an understatement.
Marie Force did not disappoint in any way. It is an extremely well written sweet, sexy and romantic book. Marie Force's characters are often slightly flawed, yet so realistic and relatable that you cannot help but be drawn in. Here Comes The Sun shows us that you when you know it is right, it is right and that no matter what you should follow your heart, even when at times your head is advising caution.
Wade Abbott was enthralled with Mia Simpson from the first time he met her at a yoga retreat 2 years ago and although he has not seen or heard from her in over a year, he has never forgotten the beautiful women who captured his heart.
When Wade finds a nearly frozen Mia unexpectedly on his doorstep he has no intention of turning her away. Obviously she too has felt the pull of attraction, otherwise why would she have shown up in Butler? What follows is a surprising and at times heart wrenching story of determination, courage, strength and above all love and acceptance.
As always we caught up on other members of the family which was great and I read this book in almost one sitting, I was so entranced and riveted to the story. Marie Force. I’ve said it before and I will continue to say it, I would love to be adopted by this family.
This is one of my most favourite series and one I highly recommend. I cannot wait for the next book in the series which promises to be amazing based on the ending in Here Comes The Sun.
Mia and Wades story was amazing! Great story that stole my heart!!! And Fred has a baby!
A new publisher, a new name, and finally a new plot. That's a good thing because the whole New York to Butler theme had been milked way more than the country mouse/ city mouse drama could withstand. I was dreading the next incarnation; would we suddenly meet Patrick Murphy's secret love child daughter. Maybe we'd meet the a few of the Ireland relatives of the Mulvaney's and they could marry some of the Coleman's. i mean hey I'm from a tiny town in the Mountains of Virginia and the limbs of my family tree aren't this intermixed.
Anyway that's a long winded way of stating that despite some facts that didn't add up and a few contradictory statements I thought to myself, hey a new character finally. All of that was ruined when suddenly we learn of a whole different life. Dreadfully the author decided to throw in the most common cliche in modern romance. Good grief Charlie Brown; (one of grandma's go to sayings for indicating frustration) isn't it bad enough that no woman in the series is allowed to have over 4 sexual partners. Then there is the whole 'man so in love he only gets erections for his wife, or future wife; all he has to do is to think of her, or be in the same vicinity as she is and suddenly he's sporting wood. I suppose that's a sweet fantasy for hetero women but for those of us who know actual guys it's kinda laughable. The next storyline will no doubt involve the wild twins Landon and Lucas finding love. What keeps me sold on this series despite the multiple issues with lame plots, the 1950's era morality is the idea of the large family that always have each other's backs. That's something that I've always envied about my grandparents and their parents' stories of depressions and wars and how they made it through those times due to family or community. Since this series delves into this theme every story I hang in there with The Abbott family and Vermont.
The Abbott's are like family. It is always so good to come home. Beautiful story!
I've been waiting for this book, so glad it is finally here. So nice to visit the family members and to catch up with their lives. Wade and Mia's story was captivating. Wish it was longer and took us a couple of years more into their lives. How you come up with a different love story for every couple is delightful. Enjoy!
I am not sure how she does it, but Marie Force continues to write an amazing story with Here Comes the Sun. I laughed, I cried, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen. I have been a huge fan of this series from the start and Wade's story in Here Comes the Sun was a fantastic read!
Wade Abbott has been the quiet one. He keeps to himself in the bedlam of what he calls his beloved family. As number six, he sure knows how to keep out of the spotlight, but in Here Comes the Sun, he is smack dab in the middle of his entire family, catching them off guard.
Wade has been interested in Mia, since the day he met her at a Yoga retreat. He knew that she was involved with someone else, but valued her friendship. He felt a connection to her like no other before or after meeting her. He had a nagging feeling something was not right, but had no idea what it was until the day she shows up at his doorstep battered and bruised.
Mia has had Wade in her heart for a long time. She knew that she needed to get out of her situation but had to wait until the time was right. When she fled, she went to the one place she had dreamed of being. Wade.
I absolutely love how Marie intricately weaves multiple storylines into a stand alone novel. I am always amazed at how connected I am to each of the memorable characters and their trials and tribulations. I cannot wait to get more from the Butler Vermont series. I love being able to catch up with past characters as well as see possibilities for plot lines to come. Marie is an amazing talent and I definitely want more of this series (sooner, than later please!)
PS - The audio version of this book was highly entertaining. Joan Delaware does an amazing job of narrating this incredible story. Paired with Marie's words the two make for a fantastic experience.
This story has been a great story line. I look forward to the story to find the twins steady girlfriends and to make Max heart smile again.
I loved this story of Wade and Mia. Wade and Mia had met a couple years ago but didn't ever get to do more than meet for coffee. When she ends up on his porch, the drama just starts and doesn't end. Marie Force certainly knows how to keep a story interesting. I enjoyed Joan Delaware's narration as usual. I can't wait for the next installment for the Abbott family. Marie's books are always a one-click for me.
Marie Force never disappoints. I love all of her books. It’s a toss though between the Gansett Island series or the Butler Mtn. series as to my favorite. But then I love the Fatal series too and... you get the point. I was so happy to read Wade & Mia’s story and extra happy that Fred the moose made another appearance. You won’t be disappointed with any Marie Force book you choose to read that’s for sure.
