Nice little deviation from the usual style and story. As we all knew, Papa Queen can well hold his own as full-fledged protagonist, to follow and to see think, act, react… his old man musings are spot on, and the romantic plot is a bit dated, a bit heavy handed, but mostly handled with great warmth and kindness and so it’s very nice.
The crime is as horrific as they come, but it becomes almost an old-style sleuthing adventure.
