Sintesi dell'editore
I’m the kind of guy who believes that everyone deserves the best legal representation money can buy - which just so happens to be me, Lucas Wright. Give me your henpecked, your cuckolded, your irreconcilable differences yearning to break free! And if you’re the bad guy in your marriage, that’s cool, too. Your green is as good as anyone’s.
Tell that to Trinity Jones. It’s my job to destroy her sister - the soon-to-be ex-wife of my a-hole of a client - and Trinity’s “big sis” instincts are dialed up to the max. I admire that. I admire her. But she won’t stop me from representing my client to the best of my ability. Not even if my chemistry with Trinity is undeniable.
Not even if we can’t keep our hands off each other. Not even if she injects life into a heart assumed to be long dead.
Because when faced with a choice between love and duty, the job will always win - or at least that’s what I thought before I met Trinity...and suddenly conflict of interest never felt so right.

Illegally Yours
So, so, SO GOOD! Once I started this one I could not put it down. Who would have thought this couple would be so perfect for each other? This author, that's who! Lucas is a hot-shot British lawyer who represents predominately husbands and fathers and when he meets Trinity at a bachelor party he is immediately intrigued with and the chemistry between these two is off the charts! Too bad just when they are getting close they find out he is her sister's soon to be ex-husband's lawyer and there is a conflict of interest and ethics problem...oh my...Will they get past this? You bet they will, in the most witty way possible with so much banter and sass and, of course, with so much heat! Definitely recommend this one!

Really liked the aeries
I loved the story. My only regret is that an African American voice was
not used. It would have been perfect.

I really wanted to like it
I gave this book 2 stars all around because I was looking for a strong, independent, no- nonsense woman and she just wasn’t there. Sure she was described as being such a woman but her actions were the opposite. I enjoy seeing the player being knocked on his ass by a woman who sees right through his player ways and doesn’t fall for his lines but that’s not what happens! And Lucas “I’ve got a British accent so your panties must automatically drop” so needed to be knocked down flat and hard on his arse! I don’t connect to a character who after learning that Lucas is her brother-in-law’s jerk divorce attorney is STILL attractive to him and “fighting” her physical attraction to him while trying to walk away from him. It makes no sense. When a man is a known jerk he automatically becomes LESS attractive not MORE! Please write better, stronger female characters. We deserve it. Also, Trinity is supposed to be a black woman with a huskey voice. Pippa used a regular voice, no husk to it.

So frustrated with the lead female character
i am so frustrated with this book, i will be publicly writing about this ....... i will post a link when I done.
i love and read books that have African Americans leads. i purchases books from African Americans writes as well as purchase these books from Caucasian women, to support allies bringing diverse characters to life. i support writes who are allies in bringing diverse characters to life.
However, ladies just like you guys have got to reach out to the various community you are writing about. Put the same research in that you do, just like you research about a profession, a time period, and accents and verbiage an European male would use(Lucas is extremely well written).
you guys need to get to do the same if you are going to write about an ethnicity and culture extremely different from your own. the lead male is a white male from UK.... guess what he sounds like it. trinity is an African American woman of mixed race......... other then a few demographical comments about her skin color and hair.... and men seeing her as exotic, i don't feel like this character is African American. at an minimum, the voice actress should have been African American. As an African American woman, with a complex life, that is variety & and filled with color, i am extremely disappointed at how flat trinity was written

Hidden depths
ILLEGALLY YOURS is the second of 3 standalone romances in the LAWS OF ATTRACTION SERIES - one book for each of the three friends running their law practice together.
Kate Meader has earned a soft spot in my heart for yanking on it very hard with her novels. The background story of Trinity when it is eventually revealed is so heartbreaking my heart squeezed for her, and I admired her for her strength all the more. Her reward is Lucas Wright, and that’s a beautiful thing. The first impressions of him as a rude and brash Brit are a ruse. He has depth and inner beauty I found heart-warming. Their romance is beautifully told, even though I had some doubts at first because of Lucas’s outlandish behaviour during their first meeting.
I found the solution for overcoming a legal/ethical conflict of interest in this story to be questionable, but whether it’s legitimate or artistic licence, it effectively played into the plot adding a poignancy that wasn’t obvious at first.
I’m glad I’ve got Kate Meader novels on my radar, I’m really enjoying them.
Here we have a trifecta winner: one author of an already good story supported by two talented narrators. Jason Clarke performed with what sounded to me like a genuine British accent. I loved it. Pippa Grant too, was flawless, as usual. I often search her name for my next listen.
Recommended, especially on Audible for the beautiful narration.

Yea!!!
LOVED it.
Favorite parts:
The female narrator (Pippa) when Trinity is sick. I LOVE that she went all coughing/naselily (sp).
Jason Clarke with a British accent. DUH!
ALL of Troy's crazy antics. I love a man that can stand up in a crowd and make a fool of himself.

Awesome narration, good romantic leads
I enjoyed this story because the characters were really great. Lucas, who we met in the first book in the series meets with Trinity and immediately is attracted to her. He's a goof and I loved that about him. (And, Jason Clarke with his English accent...oh my goodness!) I loved how giving Trinity was too and their interactions were great.
I have to say that I didn't like the main players of the supporting story. So, the idea is that Lucas is a divorce lawyer representing Trinity's sister's husband. Once Trinity finds this out, they have a bit of a push pull relationship- Lucas obviously likes Trinity but Trinity is overly protective of her sister and doesn't like how this would look. I thought she was strong in their relationship but oh so weak with her sister and it was grating. And not to mention, the relationship with her sister's husband- both of these characters were immature and a bit on the aggravating side. So, if we were focused mostly on Trinity and Lucas, the book was great (even Lucas' personal issues were beautifully done so I enjoyed that emotional pull).
I mentioned Jason Clarke. I would listen to him narrate almost anything but the English accent was beautiful and he was so consistent, even as he jumped from character to character and between male and female characters, with and without accents. Pippa Jayne held her own and both did a great job telling the story in a way that drew the listeners in.
