Sintesi dell'editore
When Kate Watts opens a food pantry in Minneapolis, she never dreamed it would be this difficult. Facing the prospect of turning hungry people away, she is grateful for the anonymous donations that begin appearing. Determined to identify and thank her secret benefactor, she launches a plan and catches Ian in the act.
Ian intrigues Kate in a way no man ever has. Impressed with her tolerance and captivated by her spirit, he complies and begins to slowly charm his way past her defenses. But Ian has enemies and they're growing restless. When Kate learns exactly how much Ian has paid, she'll discover just how strong her love is for the man who has hacked his way into her heart.

Boring
I couldn't finish it. I know it's a romance novel, but I like there to be an actual story, not just constant sex. I like a story that is so good that I want to fast forward thru the sex parts to get back to the story.

Awesome, unique story
The concept is not like others I have read and Tracey has an amazing ability to make you feel all the intended emotions and get wrapped up in her stories. I absolutely loved it.
The ending dragged just a hair but I didn't care because I was so in love with Ian and Kate.
The narrator was fantastic. I think she really nailed the character and her voice crying was what did it in for me. I could feel the pain. The only criticism is that when Ian and Kate would have a discussion, I would sometimes get lost because there was no difference in her male/female voice.

Another Winner from Garvis-Graves
It's official. I adore Tracey Garvis-Graves books. The woman can write.
With this book, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. When you read a lot of this kind of romance, you can usually predict the plot twist and this one wasn't a surprise. But the way the whole thing is written - and the way it was narrated on audio - were really moving. Garvis-Graves is really able to communicate the dynamic of a romantic relationship.
It was also interesting to hear about the world of hackers. Although it was a very basic overview, the lives of cyber criminals was fascinating. I'm not even sure I want to know more because it might scare me to death - the way they could ruin our world so quickly.
On audio, Kristin Condon was both good and bad. Her interpretation of dialogue was spot on and she really set the atmosphere for the book. However, her distinction between voices left a lot to be desired. There were times I wondered who was speaking because there was no vocal difference between Kate and Ian. On the other hand, her voicing of Kate nearly had me in tears. She took great writing and really improved it.
This author's debut novel, On the Island, is one of my favourite books. Now I can't wait to read everything else she's written.

Ridiculously cute banter
What did you like best about this story?
I adore Kate and Ian, especially when they are together and bantering back and forth about his lack of boundaries and her sweetness. I love books that make me "LOL" (yes, Ian, I wrote that), but I was surprised that this book also made me cry. Strong writing that will definitely evoke your emotions.
Any additional comments?
I'm not sure if I got a bad audio copy, but there were certain lines that when read by the narrator sounded as if they had been recorded through a cell phone. It was kind of distracting, and I'm going to try re-downloading the book.

Hard to overstate how terrible
This reads like it was written by a high school student who can’t wait to move out and have lots of sex with all the glamorous men she’ll meet. The storyline is far-fetched but even that could be forgiven in a romance if not for the horrendous, idiotic, flirting dialogue. Few things are worse than boring characters being sold to the reader as clever and witty, and that’s what you have here. Scene after scene of excruciatingly tired flirtatious banter and frequent, uninspired descriptions of sex. I wasted too many hours giving this a try.

Too much
I was on edge, mostly because of the explicit sex. That was somewhat embarrassing. I love Ian and Kate as people in spite of their perfection. The story has an interesting core, and I loved that it was located in Minneapolis. I felt a lack of edge to the plot until about 2/3 of the way through. The twist at this point was surprising and exciting. “Happily ever after” sums up this story nicely.

A love story
I loved Tracey’s other books but I found this a bit corny. Like a Mills and Boon but with glamour thrown in. The worst thing though is the narrator’s affected voice. ‘Drass’ instead of ‘dress’. ‘Yieuw’ instead of ‘you’. And she does that awful thing of pronouncing words that start with ‘St’ as ‘Sht’. ‘Shtraight’ instead of ‘straight’. Ugh. Not sure I’ll read the sequel.
