Recensioni editoriali
Young children will be delighted by Australian kids’ writer Terry Denton’s Gasp! Splat! Zapt!, which stars a greedy little fish.
Left alone at home, the fish tries to steal the remote control. Later on, he finds a mysterious stranger in his "glass prison". Stig Wemyss performs this kid’s tale with manic exuberance and zaniness, like a Looney Tunes cartoon character. The heavy use of sound effects and loud music in the audiobook also give it an animated cartoon feel.Recensioni della critica
"Very silly and very clever." (Better Parenting)
"Devilish." (The Herald Sun)
"Hilarious tale of a feisty, boastful, clever little fish ... Very very funny." (Magpies Magazine)
"This is Terry Denton at his zany best." (Reading Time)
"These three stories feature a naughty fish who gets into all kinds of trouble. The expert Stig Wemyss is perfect as the fish and as author Terry Denton, who chimes in from time to time. When the fish is home alone, he steals the TV remote so he can watch shows of his choice. There's irony and wordplay aplenty as the fish must save himself from a dog, another fish, and from jumping out of his bowl. Tongue-in-cheek dramatic organ music perfectly captures the fish's continual adventures of life and death. Even better is Wemyss's depiction of the fish's thoughts by intonation. This title brings laughs to kids, and adults as well." (AudioFile Magazine)
