Sintesi dell'editore

Urban Books publisher Carl Weber brings together two popular literary divas to give listeners what they've been asking for: empowering stories about big, beautiful women.

Desa Rae Jenkins and her 20-something-year-old playmate are back with drama only the two of them can bring. Roc has been released from prison, and he's trying to show Desa Rae that his past life is well behind him, but his baby mama and his playa-hating uncle want Desa Rae out of the picture. This 42-year-old plus-size diva will have to decide when enough is enough! No man is worth all this drama, is he? But then again, no man can put it down like Roc.

Chyanne Johnson has tried to steer clear of drama since she was old enough to be out on her own. She's content with her mundane position at Atlanta's top marketing firm, but all of that changes when sexy CEO Aric McHale promotes her to be his executive assistant. This position comes with a lethal dose of seduction, sex so good that sometimes she has problems remembering her own name, and a man she finds it hard to say no to. But everything that feels good isn't good for you. Aric and his demons are sure to make this a ride she will never forget!

Age is just a number, and whoever said that full-figured women don't know how to bring fire to a relationship was sadly mistaken.

Pretty Basic

If you like the first book you will like this one. To me the book is pretty basic. Des and Roc continue to go through the same up and down turmoil. The narrator was simply horrible. She paused in the middle of the sentence and it disrupted the flow of the book. Once she used the wrong name replacing Reggie with Ronnie. Is there a director or editor. It makes me not want to continue on with the series.

Love Des and Roc

I love the story line of Desarae and Roc. I can’t wait to read the next story in FF#5. The second story was good and held my attention I wanted more than the ending provided. I hope there is another episode with them.

Performance

while I do like the series, I struggled with the narrator and the constant pausing of sentences and misreading of the words. Also noises in the background. I have listened to many books but this one I was not impressed with the performance.

Not happy with the narrator

I feel that the narrator Ida Belle struggled reading this book, i felt like I was listening to a person who struggles to read- it an easy flow telling the story. I wouldn’t search or follow any of her readings. I wanted to finish the book but not listen to her voice or reading. Hopefully there will be a different narrator on the next book.

Enjoyed the story but the narrator was terrible

Clearly the narrator was new. Too many awkward pauses and saying the wrong names. Terrible editing.

God what a piece of garbage

the heroine started out as a Kirby beautiful black woman it was empowering I was loving it met a wonderful powerful strong black man and then the heroin turns into this beaten just abused used woman the guy is horrible evil misogynist jerk who is an abuser and a beater and a rapist and this is the story they're selling me on this was such garbage just pure garbage and the writer should be ashamed for writing these two characters .

Mixed feelings

It was good to put closure to the relationship in Brenda Hamilton's book. I had often thought about how I would like to see the ever after. Now, MS. Nikki-Michelle has left me wondering and I do not see where she has submitted a sequel for this couple. Both authors deserve some following by me. I am a romantic at heart but, some of the situations these contemporary novels present leave me angry and confused. I am selective and allow limited exposure to some of the nonsense for I am a senior reader. I often wonder if these situations really exist.

This One Bothered Me

The ending to both stories was a bit disappointing, but story #2 was a disaster. I could never in my wildest dreams understand why someone would suffer through abuse like that & make it seem like it's ok (at the end of it all). Instead of the story ending like it did he should have just killed her........ only then would this make sense (sorry to say that, but not sorry). Women in general need to put more priority on their wellbeing & overall health & happiness before they chase behind someone that clearly doesn't love - or more importantly - truly respect them. I know it's just a story, but it eerily mirrors real life situations that people actually go through. Now I feel infuriated for some reason.......

Good stories TERRIBLE reading

It was hard to listen to at times because it seemed like the narrator didn’t have a chance to read it over first and that made for choppy dialogue.
