Slow developing, but the story comes around
British story and it takes me a while to get myself tuned in which accounts for me to restart 6 tomes to adjust to the accent.
Is this the best book i have read...no, but it is interesting because it comes with some new and novel ideas about psychics and religiosity fervor . I enjoyed the listening to the development of a bond between the two main characters. I listened straight through the entire book without stopping, because the events in the book were quite well described and I enjoyed the authors ability to describe the development of frustrating situations and keep the story moving at the same time

The mama a genius
Combines Silence of the lambs ,psychic powers, and a Tom Clancy novel. Incredible driven story from probably the most underrated author out there

Interesting with endearing flaws
A very interesting concept that is fairly well developed. There are certainly some cracks in the logic. Rarely does a book need to be longer but a little more would have probably patched them. Not a bad easy listen.
Note: The American accents are so bad they are awesome.

Riveting
I was captivated from begining to end the of this book. It grabbed my attention from the start and I took me on what felt like an emotional rollercoaster ride. I am an avid Sci/fantasy buff and only read this particular book on account of having just finished reading a sci/fantasy from this author that I thoroughly and utterly loved.

Mutant Singularity
The story is a dark murder mystery that spans almost 20 years all centering around stopping a serial murderer. The story held together fairly well until the author decided to have the protagonist, Simon, inflate the importance of additional characters to include UK and US admirals and generals to play crucial roles in the hunt for the murderer who had, while still heinous, killed less than a dozen people over the many years.
Still, it was a good read and the narrator was quite good.

Boring and predictable
I had to force myself to finish this book. So predictable and not a bit scary. Don’t waste your time or money. I would have returned it if I hadn’t returned another horrible book recently.

Really good listen
Very interesting listen. The story kept me engaged and I found myself not wanting to pause it, unfortunately life demanded it. I will definitely listen to more of his books. T he narrator did a wonderful job relaying the story and giving a reality type feeling.

Hooked!
I love thrillers and this was quite different. Tension, intrigue and suspense; totally gripping! Really enjoyed it... Left me wondering: "What if?" A definite MUST to listen to.

Fantastic.
Totally different to Battlemage but just as good a story. Overcoming your fears. Friendship and courage. Familiar themes but executed brilliantly here into a well plotted story. Only just discovered this author and wish he had written more books.
Narration very good as well. Really helps to picture the characters with distinctive voices.

Not my usual type of read but....
Not something i would normally read but having enjoyed some other books from the author thought i would give it a try. The story is not complex only a couple of plot lines but the characters are very engaging. The end is a little cliche but as a change i enjoyed this book.

Original and Outstanding.
I read the print version not long after it's release, and was left with an overwhelming sense that other mediums would breathe even more life into this intriguing, thrilling, (somewhat horrific at times), yet remarkably human story. The audio version did just that. I would recommend this to all who loved the book, to those eagerly awaiting the film release and of course to those who have stumbled across this recording for the first time. You won't be disappointed. Prepare to meet the world's "First &Only". Well worthy of each 5* rating. If i was pushed for constructive critique, my preferred choice of narrator would have been younger and more authentic to the dynamic between Psimon and Steve.
(But this by no means detracted from the experience, ...It's mere preference. I'm also wary of reviews that aren't constructive- and it's the only negative I can muster!!) BRAVO!!!!!
