Sintesi dell'editore

Amid a sultry Atlanta summer, someone is targeting police. The investigation becomes personal for APD Detective Ryan Winter when a colleague and friend is shot dead - the second victim in weeks. But even as he finds himself being drawn into the tense hunt for a serial cop killer, he is forced to reexamine his own shattering personal tragedy.

An ER physician at Atlanta's busy Mercy Hospital, Dr. Lydia Costa is no stranger to suffering. Still, the recent police slayings reopen barely healed wounds - and bring her face to face with her ex-husband, Ryan Winter. As the body count rises and paranoia tightens its grip on the police force, Lydia and Ryan are pulled together by circumstances and fate, causing old passions to reignite despite their painful shared past. But as Ryan moves closer to discovering the killer's identity, someone is watching, placing both him and Lydia in mortal danger.

Great Listen

Good mature love story with suspense and a bat crazy villain. I enjoyed this book. The emotion in this book, dealing with loss and trying to find coping mechanisms is so real. It broke my heart. The characters are believable. The narration was also great. Everything just fell into place with this book. Definitely not my last read (or listening) from this author and narrator.

Any additional comments?

Leslie Tentler is a excellent suspense writer! I found this not only well written, but captivating on many levels. I listened to the audiobook version of this and loved it. Narrator Marguerite Gavin does a superb job bringing the story and characters alive. I particularly enjoyed her use of accents. Can't wait for the next book!

Mature second chance love story

Mature second chance love story and suspense-Perfection. I enjoyed this book from the first page to last page. I wanted it to go on, I laughed out loud, and I screamed out loud. It was so worth my credit, but I would have paid for it as well. I really enjoyed the narrator. So glad I decided to read the reviews and decide to buy this audible. I will listen to it again now that I know everything will be okay.

Blue Band of Brothers

I am a newly minted fan of narrator of Ms Gavin and sought out this title reviewing her reads. Ms Gavin brings a good story to life and this was no exception. Check her out in the new Catalog Plus offering under author Kate Wilhelm. Excellent!! This story of the thin blue line and its band of brothers was cleverly done. Kept my interest and it was a good surprise when the killer was revealed. The heroine and hero had good dialogue exchange. This is a good entertaining story and publisher summery spot on so no need to add to it. I do use the 1.2 speed to match the tale, give it a try. Were my comments of help?
