Sintesi dell'editore

More than 30 years after his landmark book Evolution: A Theory in Crisis (1985), biologist Michael Denton revisits his earlier thesis about the inability of Darwinian evolution to explain the history of life. He argues that there remains "an irresistible consilience of evidence for rejecting Darwinian cumulative selection as the major driving force of evolution." From the origin of life to the origin of human language, the great divisions in the natural order are still as profound as ever, and they are still unsupported by the series of adaptive transitional forms predicted by Darwin. In addition, Denton makes a provocative new argument about the pervasiveness of nonadaptive order throughout biology, order that cannot be explained by the Darwinian mechanism.

Pseudoscience book of Ignorance

This book is an example of utter ignorance.

Evolution is a fact because it is observed to happen consistently in all life. Even viruses which are not necessarily considered life evolve. The theory of evolution explains very successfully how evolution occurs.

We observe evolution in the natural environment and in that which we breed with artificial selection. Cancer is a side effect of mutations. Cancer are cells that have mutated and no longer stop growing. They have changed. When treated and return are far harder to treat.

Evidence. Evolution is supported by three main areas of evidence.

1. It is observed to happen all the time.
2. Genetics explains the mechanism of hereditary and change.
3. Fossils are a record of how evolution changed in the past.

The evidence for evolution is overwhelming in the extreme. Yet you come here and state complete falsehoods about evolution. You ignore the evidence. You insult the remarkable scientists in the field who dedicate their working lives to the research of biology.

This book is not aware that the biology and medicine are based on evolutionary science

The author’s principles will not determined that the current COVID-19 virus is an evolved virus

The author does not know that flu viruses are evolving so we need to update the vaccine continually and How are farmers and breeders changing their crops and animals to suit us?

Author is not aware speciation has been observed in the lab?

Author ignores that humans and chimpanzees have been proven to have a common ancestor through chromosome 2 fusion?

My bet is that the author is a believer in a god or other religious doctrine and this is the reason that he is straightly umping through mental hoops to try to disprove evolution.

This book does not give any genuine scientific reasons. I also get that this book is full of straw msn arguments as it CANNOT rebut real science.

Wow

This is a masterpiece, rising above other intelligent design literature for its sheer scope, It’s breath of vision is profound, Denton’s prose is also some of the densest and uses challengingly precise vocabulary. The only criticism is he is not writing for the average person But for those in the fields of evolutionary biology, and philosophy of science. Stick with it through the dense parts, the end is worth it.

A logical and evidentiary challenge to Darwin

extremely interesting and well-organized argument using scientific discoveries to counter the premise of neo-darwinism. also and open-minded construct to being wrong, unlike so many ardent Darwin supporters.

Fascinating

When you search with a curious mind and an honest heart, the world of creation will shout out the name of the Lord. It is not random. It is not coincidental. A force like this must have intelligence. And His name is GOD.

Thank you, Mr Denton!

Brilliant book! Glory to God in the highest! Probably not for adherents to the religion of atheism, though.

This Book Automatically Played When I Was Asleep

I didn't have this book in my library. Just finished writing a thesis on race in my Cultural Anthropology class. I fell asleep listening to Darwin's House of Cards. Woke up to the first chapter playing. I picked up my phone because I had an open mind of what I was hearing. I turn on the phone and see this book playing. I think God in a way had this book revealed to me. Because as a Darwin supporter, I was defending race for science giving evidence that it is biological and not just a social construct. I give this book 5 stars and if this book found its way to you. Listen to it and take in the evidence.

Utter Nonsense

The performance was mediocre at best, and that was by far the best part of this book.

The content was absolute garbage! The author uses a lot of big words to sound smart and then incorrectly explains those big words in layman's terms.

This book will make you dumber. Don't read this book if you need to take a Biology class! It will confuse you and make you fail the course! Don't read this book if you are just curious about biology or alternative thoughts on evolution. If you talk about it to anyone who understands the basic principles of biology, then you will sound like an idiot.

Spare yourself from listening to 11 hours of nonsense!

Thank you for writing the book

I enjoyed this book. I see that Denton and Behe are selling that common decent. I’m not sold on it yet.

99% sure read by AI

A great book. Just get the suspicion by the style that this is AI, which is pretty impressive, since I’m not 100% sure.

Creationist drivel in disguise

The agenda is clear from the get go. Darwinism and creationism are compared as equally valid ‘theories’.

Logical

Structuralism seems much more logical than functionalism. Very interesting I had not thought of any other narrative until now.
