Sad face!
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I liked the performance, and the dialogues. The dialogues did not start at the beginning of the chapter segments, so you cannot just skip to the particulars you wanted to hear; this was very disappointing! Change the recording format and you have a success.

Not Complete Dialogues
My Plato's Dialogues is 1500 pages. The intro on the audio says that this is only 150 pages. Perhaps it's "unabridged" but it is also "selected" and the summary should say so.

Old
Every turn of chapter starts back a little bit as if to refresh the listener who has had to dig out the next cassette. There's a lot of other things that date the piece. There's a little bit of audible breathing in the back ground. It's not annoying but it's there. Overall still good.

Next to Moses, the most important man in history
Would you listen to Dialogues of Plato again? Why?
Yes, and i bought the book for future reference. It is hard to imagine how western thought would have progressed without this influence of this man, his teacher Socrates, and his pupil, Aristotle and his pupil, Alexander the Great. This man, next to Moses and Christ changed the entire world's thought processes. Amazing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dialogues of Plato?
The analysis of Socrates duty to the state. Magnificent.
What about Pat Bottino’s performance did you like?
This is a difficult work if it is not translated properly, and this was translated in such a way that everyone can understand and follow.
If you could give Dialogues of Plato a new subtitle, what would it be?
Understanding right and wrong, good and bad.
Any additional comments?
This should be mandatory reading for every person on the globe.

I sat amongst great men.
Is how I felt as I listened to this. It was my first audio book but soon; everyone had their own voice and I could not but distinguish. A man died.

Essential Read
The collection of dialogues accounting for the trial and death of Socrates, along with the Republic and The Laws are essential reading when understanding one of Athen's greatest political authors: Plato.

Very Dull Narration
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
A better reader.
What will your next listen be?
'Symposium' - Plato
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Pat Bottino?
James Langton or Jonathan Cowley
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment.
Any additional comments?
The narrator reading the name of the speaker prior to each word or phrase was very distracting. Better readers are able to use different voices to clearly identify the speakers.

Only 4 dialogues
This volume contains only 4 of the dialogues: Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, Phædo. It would be better for the description to make this clear.
