A life filled with fast money and violence lands 23-year-old Candice Holmes in a witness protection program. When she finds out that no one is capable of saving her from the wrath of the ruthless family she is scheduled to testify against, she finds herself on the run.
With nowhere to hide, Candice ends up fleeing to New York City where she is introduced to Daddy - who owns a house where little girls are doing big things. Candice soon realizes that the street life she left behind is nothing compared to what goes on at Daddy’s House. Between doing what it takes to survive and hiding her identity, Candice conquers one pitfall after another. Soon, all things come to an end when she goes toe-to-toe with the vicious woman who has the ability to put her six feet under, or sell her to the highest bidder.

Okay
I love the narrator but the book was okay. it should have dug deeper into the background of Candy so we can understand why she was on the run. it jumped around too much without any real story line

you didn't need a backstory it all came together. the narrator was awesome. I can't wait to find more books that she narrated

This is a suspense story
I figured it out about 2 hours left to go but it still had me shocked in the very end. Karma should be the name of this book or don't put all your eggs in one basket

Powerful
I REALLY enjoyed this story I wanted to give it a 5 star rating however their was one section that was a TOTAL TURN OFF. Ironically it was when “Big V” was using the bathroom. It was too over the top that’s all I will say about it. Otherwise I LOVED the story. Had that piece been dialed back somewhat it would have been perfect. The main character was extremely naïve to the point where one wonders if she was well just plain stupid. However I am sure there are many people out there just like her. This author is quite talented and I look forward to reading more work.

Awwwwww damn CANDY… I mean CANDICE!! All that and u still got GOT😂😂😂😂 whew child. Typical drug king pin/sell coonchie to survive hood rat story. The “daddy” mess was definitely cringe worthy… like ewww wtf. It got me through my work day nonetheless 🫶🏾✌🏾

Shocking ending
Lol, very high energy from the start, with wild twists throughout the entire book. The book gives you a look into the street life from multiple angles.
