When a body is found in the village pond, Convent Mother Helen and DI Cromwell are brought together to solve the crime and figure out what actually happened to Father Jack. The duo embark on an unlikely friendship as they bring their heads together to solve the murder. It’s not long before the two super sleuths are at it again when a precious icon goes missing from the church. Dwindling sister numbers, the mysterious Monsignor Nietzsche, the arrival of cyberspace and the small matter of an old murder means DI Cromwell must work hard to keep the nuns safe, especially when Mother Helen is put in danger…

Written by comedy writer Robert Smith, a former Monk, you’ll laugh out loud as crime and convents, the police and perdition come together. Timothy Spall, perhaps best know for playing Peter Pettigrew in the Harry Potter films, has had a long career on stage and screen including roles in Mr Turner, Secrets and Lies and Wolf Hall. Cheryl Campbell, who plays Mother Helen, is an Olivier and BAFTA winning actress best known for her roles in Pennies from Heaven and Testament of Youth.
