Hated it! Asinine book in an asinine series!

Bought this book on sale then realized it was eighth in a series so bought first book to start. I hated it, but sometimes book one in a series is boring to set the stage for series. It was bad, really bad but I gave author second chance reading this one. This one was even more of a struggle to finish then book one so that means series just gets worse. It's like the author just makes up the story as she goes along, uses useless descriptions to increase her word count and has taken no time to build any depth what so ever in her story or characters. Her heroines are beyond irritating and heroes wusses. The narrator is way over enthused and has uses annoying accents/voices. I kept waiting for her next words to be, "and he huffed. and he puffed, snd he blew the house down!" I only listened to Audible version, maybe reading would make more bearable but I doubt it. It's just a badly written book with a bad story.

This story has a seriously demented reality, which for vampires is awesome but... what the what?! I think a piece of me died with this story (in a heartfelt, the story made me cry kind of way!)

David, Jack and Doug wall into a bar... sounds like a bad joke waiting but it’s not, yet, it was a trick on them. Talk about a how do you do. The boys are kidnapped along with many others, humans and vampires alike.

The game is on and let me tell you it’s a freaking awesome game... unless you’re one of the ones now in a cage. Haha. While trying to escape the cage holding him David meets Mollie. Mollie and her sister, Aida have been kidnapped too.

The race is on to not only escape the cages and the savages but to survive the unknown chaos of this fight that was thrust upon them. It’s a lot to take in to start with but in the beginning being separated from Jack and Doug, to be helping a human woman that Mike is growing fond of to the point he knows who she is to him.... things get a little hairy.

I must say, I’m full disclosure mode, I did cry once... dang you Brenda! Lol but it was a great story.

Im so glad next book is out tomorrow cause... I need to know what in the freak happens next!!

So sad!!!!

I really loved this book even though it was the saddest and the book in the series with the most violence. I cried my eyes out with this book. It is a shame that it ended with a huge cliff hanger. I am anxious to see what happens next.

As always, Tavia Gilbert delivered a great performance.

Loved it!

I love this series. The stories are similar in that the main characters are mates, but they keep finding new story lines and back stories to keep you interested.

It seems that Brenda makes the each book better the more she writes in this series and Tavia does a real good job at narrating the book where it left me crying and wanting to read the next book to see what will happen next to the family and who they be adding to it next and how they all are accepting and loving they are to the one who joins their family.

I am not a big fan of a series that doesn't stick with the main characters from book one. but I love this series and each story they have ❤️

What an amazing series so far! This one definitely hits different from the others so far but in a good way.. I can’t urge you enough to give this series a try.. I promise you will not regret it!! I can’t wait to start the next book!!! Brenda you are awesome & I can only hope you continue with the bern family and there universe!!

The Awakening Series is amazing well written , the narrator has to be the best reader I’ve ever heard read ! I’m on book 9 now !
