Billy Preston
An intimate, unfiltered conversation with Billy Preston, one of the most influential yet understated figures in modern music history. Through decades of cultural change, told in the voice of a man who helped shape the sound of an era.
From playing piano at the age of three to performing on some of the most iconic recordings ever made, Billy Preston reflects on a life shaped by faith, talent, and collaboration. He recalls touring with Little Richard, learning from Ray Charles, recording with Sam Cooke, and becoming a trusted musical presence during the final years of The Beatles.
The journey moves from recording studios to historic stages, encompassing some of music's most defining moments — from the Let It Be sessions and the legendary Rooftop Concert to the Concert for Bangladesh, solo collaborations with George Harrison, John Lennon, and Ringo Starr, and the creation of his own chart-topping records.
Beyond the music, Billy speaks candidly about spirituality, creativity, fame, and the responsibility that comes with success. His storytelling is warm, reflective, humorous, and deeply personal, offering rare insight into both the public history and the private moments behind legendary recordings.
