Day 22 of Gutted Horror Podcast's 31 Nights of 31 Frights!
Tonight we're taking on WHISPERS (1990), a Canadian horror-thriller based on Dean Koontz's novel. Writer Hilary Thomas is stalked by a violent man who seems to return after being killed, setting off a disturbing mystery that mixes psychological suspense with supernatural horror.
This episode is extra special because Whispers is Aleece's birthday pick! We're celebrating her birthday while exploring another lesser-known corner of 1990 horror.
We're discussing the performances, the film's unsettling premise, its Dean Koontz connection, and how it holds up as a horror-thriller. Spoilers begin after our initial reactions, followed by the Gutted Awards, our Blockbuster & Letterboxd ratings, and final thoughts.
31 Nights. 31 Frights. All from 1990.
