As an African, particularly Nigerian, why must you find the English name for what is Nigerian/African, and decide to replace the original name of what is Nigerian/African, with something alien to it? And worst of all, you do not even bother to ask, what are Nigerian/African names for some of the things we use in our day-to-day lives.
You might think it does not matter, and the fact that you are able to think like that in the first place is extremely disturbing. I mean very very very disturbing. Somebody has seen to it that we should not think, and it is up to us determine the success of that person.

How many of these words do you know in any indigenous African languages?
If you notice the specificity of some of these words, the realisation should hit you why a huge amount of Nigerian/African indigenous languages are a bit difficult to formalise.
But don't just peg it on that, it is like that because you have neglected the importance, the foreign languages you use today are extremely not what it was 50 year ago, not to talk of a 100 years back and more.
