The Phoenix Mercury fell 100-82 to the Las Vegas Aces in their season finale, with A'ja Wilson scoring 34 points. We analyze the roster battles ahead, focusing on the point guard spot between Alyssa Thomas and potential free agent additions. Kahleah Copper led Phoenix with 18 points, while Natasha Mack grabbed 7 rebounds.

We discuss the need for two veteran guards and a rim-protecting forward to improve competitiveness next season. With injuries to Kara Dunn, Kelsey Plum, NaLyssa Smith, and Jovana Nogic, the depth chart is thin. Our predictions suggest Copper shifts to two-guard, Thomas stays at one, and new acquisitions will fill the gaps.

Key topics include the impact of Jewell Loyd's 25-point bench performance for Vegas, the importance of pick-and-roll execution, and whether the Mercury can reach 22-23 wins with targeted free agency signings.
