Today's Mystery: Simon Templar investigates a disturbing situation in the theater world when actor Mercer Bennett becomes convinced that the roles he plays onstage are coming true in real life. His latest play features the murder of his leading lady, Shari Babcock, and a previous attempt involving real bullets has left him fearing the worst. With several people harboring grudges and the final performance approaching, can the Saint uncover the truth before the curtain falls on a real-life tragedy?
