During the May 1940 retreat toward Dunkirk, an American officer serving with Britain’s King’s Royal Rifle Corps becomes separated from his unit amid the ruined streets of Calais. In a wartime memory where blackout, bombardment, and legend begin to overlap, he encounters echoes of Robin Hood’s world, including Alan-a-Dale and Maid Marian.
Quiet, Please presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
