The Portland Fire finished 16-27, placing fourth in the Western Conference Division after a thrilling 90-82 overtime victory over the Golden State Valkyries. Carla Leite led the charge with clutch scoring, while Bridget Carleton added 26 points and Emily Engstler secured 11 rebounds.

This episode analyzes the Fire's strengths, including Carleton's scoring and Harrison's playmaking, against their critical weaknesses in depth and spacing following significant injuries to players like Holly Winterburn and Nyadiew Puoch. The hosts discuss the importance of retaining Emily Engstler's rim protection.

We project a 25-30 win season for 2027 if the front office addresses roster retention and improves floor spacing. Key topics include the impact of Nneka Ogwumike's historic performance against Portland and the strategic shifts needed to become a consistent play-in contender.
